Help Family Promise of Southern Delaware prevent families from becoming homeless!
Your donations in previous years have helped over 173 families avoid becoming homeless. Our Prevention Program funds helped families with rental/utility arrearages and moving-in expenses.
For 2024, we are looking to continue to tackle the needs here in Sussex County. Last year’s funds were used to fund the hiring of our first case manager. This year, we will be launching and staffing a Rapid Rehousing Program in Sussex County. The Rapid Rehousing Program will assist families currently experiencing homelessness to identify housing and other support needed to exit homelessness into permanent housing by working closely with a Case Manager. Not only is this an expansion for FPSDE, but it is also the first of its kind focused solely on Sussex County, and funded, in part by Federal HUD funds. Funds from this effort will be used as the required match to assist us with hiring a case manager, and to help with facilitating relationships with landlords in the area.

The purpose of Family Promise of Southern Delaware (FPSDE) is to help low-income families in Sussex County who are facing or at risk of becoming homeless achieve housing stability and sustainable independence.
