Empowering communities by providing nourishment and hope to those in need, 3B Brae's Brown Bags delivers essential resources and inspires a new generation of leaders to combat food insecurity and foster a culture of compassion and kindness.

For 24 hours during Do More 24 Delaware, every dollar you give to 3B Brae’s Brown Bags works extra hard. This statewide giving day comes with matching funds and prize pools, so when you donate during Do More 24 you help us unlock bonus dollars that we simply would not get on a regular day of giving. That means more healthy snack bags, more Code Purple to-go bags, and more chances for kids and teens to learn what it looks like to care for their neighbors.

3B started with one kid who noticed people who did not always know where their next meal would come from. After a visit to the White House, Braeden was challenged to “pay it forward,” so at age 9 he packed a few brown bags with healthy snacks, water, and a kind note and handed them directly to people who needed them. That tiny idea has grown into a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) that has shared thousands of bags with people facing hunger and homelessness.

Today, 3B Brae’s Brown Bags partners with shelters, schools, and Code Purple emergency sanctuaries to provide simple, respectful “to go” bags. Each one usually includes shelf-stable snacks, a drink, and information about local resources. When we have the funding, we add seasonal extras like socks, hand warmers, or lip balm. At the same time, Braeden and our team visit classrooms and youth groups to talk about food insecurity, kindness, and how kids can make a difference right where they are.
