I’m Angela Zielen.

I’m fundraising for First State Ballet Theatre.

Having spent nine seasons as a member of FSBT,  my relationship with ballet has evolved into something more than just a passion; it's as comforting and familiar to me as a second home. When watching our productions, one cannot overlook the inherent beauty that radiates from each performance, captivating the audience. Ballet, with its universal appeal, manages to mesmerize viewers of all age groups, proving its enduring charm and elegance. The gracefulness of the dance form, the stunning costumes, and the heartfelt expressions of the dancers combine to make ballet a truly enchanting experience.

FSBT, an entity worth supporting, needs your backing. Your support propels our mission forward, enabling us to  bring more enchanting ballet experiences to Delaware.

About First State Ballet Theatre

Mission: To present ballet boldly to Delaware To enrich our community with live professional performances To inspire and educate dancers and audiences of the future To connect local youth with a creative, inclusive movement experience

Now in its 22st season, First State Ballet Theatre is Delaware’s only professional ballet company and serves thousands of Delawareans each year through our performances, our school, and our outreach programs. FSBT’s performing artists come from around the world to dance in our mainstage season at The Grand Opera House and other performances statewide. The School of FSBT is Delaware’s leader in classical ballet training and was recently named in the Top 5% of U.S. Ballet Academies by an independent study at Northeastern University. In 2019 FSBT created the National Ballet Competition, which awards thousands of dollars in scholarships for aspiring dancers to prestigious summer programs around the country. FSBT's outreach programs serve thousands of Delawareans with low-cost or free dance instruction and lecture-demos in schools and community centers statewide.
