Since 1989, Beebe Medical Foundation has been raising money to support Beebe Healthcare’s not-for-profit charitable mission to encourage healthy living, prevent illness, and restore optimal health to those residing, working, or visiting the communities we serve. By ‘Going Purple’ for #DoMore24, you can make a BIG difference in the fight against 
Opioid Addiction in Sussex County. 

Sadly, Delaware is second in the nation in opioid overdoses, and more than half of overdose deaths in Delaware occur in Sussex County.  And since COVID-19,  Beebe has seen a 60 percent increase in overdoses at its hospital. 

“We’ve never seen anything like it, in every age from teens through 70-year-olds,”  said Nurse Kelly Palekar of Beebe’s Behavioral Health team.
