Casa San Francisco exists to restore the wellbeing of the homeless and those experiencing poverty in Sussex County. The stories of the homeless are wide-ranging: the 18-year-old living on the street because she can no longer cope with her father’s alcoholism, the 82-year-old woman left with no home after a fire in her subsidized apartment, the man living in his car because, even though he works full-time for minimum wage, he can’t afford decent housing. 

Persons living paycheck to paycheck need a place to receive extra help with dignity while they are getting back on their feet. Casa San Francisco is that place.

Casa provides an emergency homeless shelter and food pantry, case management services, and other food assistance programs for those who are income-qualified. Casa San Francisco also helps the community link to other Catholic Charities programs. Persons can get information about addiction recovery support, behavioral health services, domestic violence and anger management classes, immigration support, pregnancy counseling, food assistance programs, and basic needs help.
