Please consider supporting Children & Families First's Foster Children’s Enrichment Fund, created by a local teen, for DoMore24!

The Foster Children’s Enrichment Fund was developed by Marissa Washburn, a 16 year old  former foster youth in our program, who is now a sophomore at Tower Hill School. This fund provides resource families with financial assistance to allow children in foster care to participate in extracurricular activities such as art, music, and sports programs, as well as summer camps. Often children in foster care do not have opportunities to experience these types of special programs and fun activities outside of school.  The goal of this fund is to give these children a chance to pursue their individual interests, get positively involved in their community and ultimately to enhance their self-esteem.

Children & Families First currently has 60 resource families licensed to care for children in Delaware foster care system. Raising funds for these children will take some of the burden off their resource family and allow them to participate in activities.
