       The Chris White Community Development Corporation is an art house and community maker.  Situated in downtown Wilmington, we provide affordable housing which prioritizes rental to artists, and an art gallery. Hence, we strengthen the community in two ways, and these two integrated aspects of our mission make CWCDC unique in the city and the county. Your donation will help us fully embody and enliven the vision for a thriving community-based arts community in Wilmington. 

       Through DoMore24, we hope to raise $4,000 to support art exhibitions in the Chris White Gallery for the remainder of 2026. We rely heavily on volunteers, and this enables us to mount diverse and contemporary exhibits – 6 per year - for approximately $1,300 per show.  We open the gallery for Wilmington first Friday Art Loop evenings and other special events, bringing the work of local and emerging artists to the downtown community. The space is a creative incubator for innovation and multi-art collaboration, with adjacent spoken word, poetry, and music performances, as well as workshops and artist panels. Your tax-deductible contribution will provide funds for our talented curators, for the installation of the art itself, and other related expenses. For example, the curation of one show costs $600 and the installation of a show $300.

       Just think: If 10 people contribute $400 each, or if 40 people contribute $100 each, we will reach our goal!
