For nearly 30 years, City Theater Company has been producing the kind of theater we want to see in the world. From re-envisioning classic musicals like "Gypsy" and "Company"; to staging intimate interpretations of newer shows like "Passing Strange" and "Once"; to developing original works and presenting World Premieres like "After Birth of a Nation" and "Blues in My Soul"; and engaging the community via our Fearless Improv team and the annual Tax Free Comedy Festival — CTC has always strived to innovate and challenge orthodox ideas of what theater is and what it can be.

We're thrilled this year to enter into launch our 3-year (and hopefully many more) partnership as Theater-in-Residence with The Delaware Contemporary, just off the waterfront in Wilmington! We've worked with the TDC staff to transform their former auditorium into the Wings Black Box, which will be available for use by all the arts & culture community! We also look forward to expanding the idea of what "art" means and where it can go when two like-minded organizations come together to collaborate and create!
