Support Delaware Dance Company and our mission to advance the knowledge and appreciation of dance and provide the highest quality of education in all aspects of dance to anyone desiring such education. We want to be "Your Home for Dance"

We take seriously our mission to provide dance classes "to anyone desiring such education" by:

- Providing scholarships for dancers in groups traditionally under represented in ballet

- Offering financial assistance to those who need it

- Reducing the gender stereotype of ballet by offering ballet, tuition free, to boys

- Offering programs that appeal to a broad audience, thereby fostering diversity and inclusivity

- Keeping our tuition fees and ticket prices as low as possible
- Supporting our faculty through continuing education opportunities
- Collaborating with other organizations within our community such as "Special Olympics of DE" and the "Newark Symphony Orchestra"

We need you, to ensure our impact in the community continues flourish. With fewer foundations and smaller grants, the leverage you give us through donations, is more important than ever. We are committed to supporting diversity and inclusivity through our programming and "Together we can Do More!"

About Delaware Dance Company

Delaware Dance Company has been a fixture in the greater Newark area arts community for over four decades. In addition to offering top quality dance education through academic year classes and summer programs, DDC has presented an annual "Nutcracker" ballet every year since 1984. In the spring, DDC presents a second production, either a mixed repertoire dance concert or a story-based dance feature. When possible, local school groups are invited to see these productions free of charge.

DDC offers tuition assistance to families with demonstrated need so that all children who desire a dance eduction can enroll in classes. A program to offer free and reduced tuition classes for boys was initiated to increase the gender diversity at the school. Recently we added "Adaptive Dance Classes" thoughtfully developed with special attention given to differently abled individuals. Advancing inclusivity these classes aim at, not only enhancing the lives of participants but also enriching the broader dance community.
