Delaware Futures helps deserving students from across the state graduate from high school transition to college and careers. Our program is committed to offering our scholars unique opportunities to network, build leadership skills, serve the community, improve academics, get paid work experience, take college tours, and transition to post-secondary education.

Mission: Delaware Futures provides holistic support and empowerment to at-promise high school students across the state. We provide: academic support, social and emotional support, paid internships, case management, college prep, supportive services, workforce development and career readiness. 100% of students will have:

  • Graduated high school 
  • Completed financial literacy courses 
  • Completed a paid internship (at least one!) 
  • Visited several colleges and technical schools in and around Delaware 
  • Spent 800 hours with their academic advisor 
  • Received a supportive service 
  • Increased their workforce skills and employability 
  • Completed 40 hours of community service 
  • Earned over $8500 in paid internships 
  • Opened a bank account 
  • Completed Toastmasters course 
  • Will have completed YWCA groups 
  • Attended 4-8 career panels 
  • Met DF alumni from several states and professions 
  • Had exposure to STEM and the arts 
  • Increased digital literacy, internet safety skills, and online etiquette 
  • Increased knowledge of healthy relationships 
  • Increased skills to manage stress 
  • Had a formal assessment and made an individualized plan 
  • Learned about hundreds of career options 
  • Received paychecks with their name on it
