Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education

Organization Mission:

At DiAE, our mission is to enhance the quality of education in Delaware by delivering arts-integrated, multicultural experiences to students and teachers of all ages …inspiring the artist within.

Your support is critical! Please support DiAE's Delaware Wolf Trap (DWT) program this year. DWT is a partnership between a Teaching Artist (TA) and an early childhood educator to provide professional development for teachers in the classroom , while engaging children in music, dance, and imaginative play.

This program has far reaching impact on students and teachers including:
  •  Educational & programmatic support for teachers and students during COVID-19;
  • Tailored resources for teachers to use in future classrooms;
  • Increased social emotional learning (SEL) for brain development in early learners;
  • Fostering a deeper sense of community & connection around STEAM concepts.
A typical residency uses arts-integration to promote literacy and STEAM
(science, technology, engineering, arts and math) development that teachers use to foster young children’s learning. DWT is modelled after the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts program in Virginia. DiAE is one of 23 international affiliates and is the only provider of this kind in DE.
About Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education (DiAE)

We achieve this by engaging all art forms with cross-disciplinary learning, connecting professional artists with students and educators, and delivering programs that foster discovery, learning beyond the classroom, and understanding of one's place in the world

Helping our little ones give and receive love and light through the Arts...
