According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor (2019), STEM jobs are growing faster than other jobs. Unfortunately, data shows that schools are falling short in preparing students. Please support DOEC in training participants ages 5 through 18, on Computational Thinking (CT) activities that require the use of critical, logical, creative thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. CT is a way of thinking that is honed through practice, these skills are fundamental for STEM activities and future jobs and are essential to the development of computer applications, while also being used to support problem solving across all disciplines, including the humanities, math and science. Your donation will help DOEC launch this new, fun and relevant program, "Computational Thinking Unplugged", which will empower participants to be more comfortable and confident with CT skills!
