Empower Change with Code Purple

Organization Mission:

Code Purple - We Rescue Families Code Purple Kent County is on a mission to help people stay out of the cold during winter months when they are experiencing homelessness. We go beyond this effort with "Code In Need" which helps with providing a weekly open clothing pantry, food pantry and human services needs. We provide the basic or extensive needs so that people who are experiencing a crisis, emergency or other life experience that causes homelessness are able to live a peaceful life without angst. We do this by providing group homes, parsonages, temporary hotel stays, temporary tent supplies and areas as well as human services and food during most of these "helpful stays."

Join Code Purple in our transformative journey as we strive to raise $50,000 in the "Do More 24 Delaware 2024" campaign. Since our inception, we've been a beacon of hope in Kent and Sussex counties, providing vital services to those living with homelessness, poverty, and addiction.

Your Impact in Action:
  • Emergency Sanctuary: We offer a warm, safe haven for up to 400 individuals each winter, ensuring no one is left in the cold.
  • Sustenance and Support: Our daily services include food, clothing, and hygiene essentials, addressing immediate needs with compassion.
  • Empowerment Through Employment: We equip individuals with job training, resume building, and interview skills, fostering self-reliance and economic stability.
  • Recovery and Rehabilitation: Our dedicated efforts in addiction and recovery include transportation assistance, insurance mediation, and program support.
  • Nourishment on Wheels: The Code Purple mobile truck extends our reach, delivering meals, resources, donations and hope to tent cities and community events.
  • Safe Havens: Our group and rescue homes offer a secure environment for families, women, children, and men to rebuild their lives.
  • Innovative Community Programs: From our hotel voucher initiative to our addiction awareness events and Vision Board classes, we're constantly evolving to meet community needs.

Why Your Support Matters:
  • Expanding Our Reach: Your donations will fuel our pantry services, providing food bags for those on the streets and in group homes.
  • Enhancing Facilities: Funds will upgrade our kitchen to a commercial standard, improving our capacity to offer job training in culinary skills.
  • Building Resilience: Your contributions will help us expand our impact and maintain essential services, regardless of ongoing challenges.

Your Role in Our Story:
Every donation, big or small, writes a chapter in our story of hope and recovery. Together, we can combat poverty, homelessness, and addiction, transforming lives and strengthening our community. Be a part of this change. Donate today and help us reach our goal of $50,000.
