Empowering Our Children To Reach Their Full Potential

I believe all children should have a chance to succeed in life. Yet thousands of children are left behind – because of who they are or where they live.  Every day, in both times of crisis and the future, United Way fights for them to survive and thrive. Together, we can fight for a healthy start, access to education and training preparing them for tomorrow’s workforce.  Our efforts will boost all individuals and families to be financially empowered to live  strong and healthy lives.

Knowing how to read is something most of us take for granted.  But the truth is, many children don’t read well.  As they get older, this can cause them to disconnect from learning altogether.  Students who are not reading at grade level by the end of 3rd grade are 4X more likely to drop out of school. This struggle is a barrier for our children to reach their full potential.

Often times the work is complex. However, today I ask that you join me in the fight.  With a donation of $25 today, we can fight for our children’s future, and support grade level reading. Together, we can  provide all children the opportunity to thrive no matter where they live.
