Faithful Friends Animal Society is an independently operated, nonprofit animal welfare organization with a no-kill shelter that has been serving Delaware for 25 years. Faithful Friends does not euthanize animals to make space for others. All cats and dogs in our care stay with us until forever homes are found. They receive lots of love and attention in addition to top-notch care. Of the thousands of cats and dogs we care for each year, over 200 will need emergency, life-saving care and treatment. Every gift matters. Your support will help save their lives.
Programs and services include:
Rescue and adoption
Healthy pet clinics

During the Do More 24 Campaign, we are asking for support of our Healing Touch Fund: Helping animals in need of special medical care! Our DM24 goal is $10,000, supporting a bigger effort to raise $50,000 in March.
About our Healing Touch Fund: Some animals at the shelter require special or emergency medical care and need extra time to heal. Thanks to your support, we have a skilled veterinary team on staff that is able to help many of these animals in-house, decreasing outside expenses. Still, there are many pets with needs that go beyond what we can provide at our shelter. Donations to the Healing Touch Fund offset the cost of special medical treatments that go beyond our standard care plan. These expenses add up to over $225,000 annually, but we cannot imagine turning our backs on these animals. Thanks to your support, we don’t have to.

About Faithful Friends Animal Society
Mission: To end the neglect, abandonment and killing of pets in Delaware and enrich the lives of people by promoting and providing compassionate animal-related welfare and social services.
Faithful Friends Animal Society is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization with a no-kill shelter and community veterinary clinic. All animals in our care stay with us until placed into new homes. We are funded through donations, grants, and fees for services. We allocate the majority of our budget (about 82%) for community programs and services.
Faithful Friends was born out of a moral imperative to expose the mass killing of cats and dogs entering Delaware’s publicly funded shelters. For two decades, our advocacy has vastly improved outcomes for shelter animals, saving thousands of easily adoptable, trainable, and treatable pets from certain death. With an unflagging commitment to our mission, we continue to advocate for reform, save lives, and reduce pet relinquishment through our local programs and services.
