Friends of Wilmington Parks Do More 24 Delaware 2024

Organization Mission:

Friends of Wilmington Parks is dedicated to maintaining the beauty and enjoyment of the Wilmington State Parks system. Through community programs, fundraising, and restoration of historic spaces, we’re committed to keeping the parks enjoyable destinations for park visitors. We support Wilmington State Parks, encompassing five lush, urban parks along the Brandywine River in Delaware: Brandywine Park, Rockford Park, Alapocas Run State Park, H. Fletcher Brown Park, and Kentmere Parkway.

Your funds help us:
  • Build new or renovate existing park facilities, like the proposed concert stage at Rockford Park or a picnic area at the Rodney Street Tennis Courts.
  • Maintain the historic Jasper Crane Rose Garden in Brandywine Park.
  • Present a host of events throughout the year, including our free summer concert series, Foodie Fridays at Blue Ball Barn, the Brandywine Backstory Series, and our Art in the Park Silent Auction.
  • Host our popular fundraiser, the Annual Jasper Crane Rose Garden Party each June.
  • Restore a portion of Brandywine Park to native habitat in order to attract wildlife and improve water quality.
