We also have expenses for hosting our Side by Side experience, which gives high school musicians the extraordinary opportunity to rehearse and perform next to Delaware Symphonic Winds members.

"When my wife and I moved to Delaware almost four years ago we wanted to stay active and enjoy life. Enjoying life can mean something different depending on who you ask. To us it means finding adventure, cultural activities and being involved in the community.

About three years ago we went to our first concert by The Delaware Winds, now the Delaware Symphonic Winds (DSW). We have enjoyed plays and musicals on and off Broadway for many years, but it had been a long while since we attended a concert.

From the first selection to end of the concert in Lewes we had an uplifting experience - something that music does to you if it is done right. Naturally we have become regular concert goers and look forward to the DSW concerts in all three counties. A special treat is the Side-By-Side performances when high school students rehearse and perform with the ensemble. Helping young musicians spreads the joy and magic of making music to the next generation.

During this season of giving thanks, Susan and I have stepped up to support DSW financially and with our continued attendance at the Fall and Spring concerts.
