$4,590 raised from 26 donors

$15,000 goal

After having been closed for over 15 months in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Delaware Children’s Museum reopened its doors on June 18th, 2021. We are thrilled to welcome back over 2,100 guests per month, once again allowing local children to learn through play in a safe and supportive environment. As Delaware’s only children’s museum, the DCM offers many children in the area their only opportunity to experience the fun and interactive exhibits and programming we offer. The DCM strives to provide these opportunities regardless of ability or socioeconomic status.

Since reopening, the DCM has still faced limited capacity, and has not yet resumed revenue generating programs such as birthday parties and field trips. This, in addition to families’ reluctance to bring what is largely an un-vaccinated population to indoor facilities has led to a great reduction in revenue.

Admissions revenue provides the DCM with almost 70% of its operating budget. This reduction has only intensified the already great need for contributed revenue to help the museum continue its mission of Developing Creative Minds through Playful learning and STREAM Education. Please consider donating to the DCM, Delaware’s only children’s museum, to help keep our doors open to all!

About Delaware Children's Museum

Mission: To Develop Creative Minds through Playful Learning and STREAM Education.

As the state's only children's museum, the Delaware Children's Museum provides children across the First State with accessible, fun, and educational programming and events. The DCM offers guests their first museum experience, and allows them to learn through play in a fun and safe environment. We need the support of the Delaware community to be able to continue providing exceptional programming and events!
