Help Us Help You

Organization Mission:

To provide comprehensive, skillful, cost effective pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency health care to the Smyrna and Clayton communities, and surrounding areas, while continuing to evolve with ever changing health care needs.

COVID 19 has taken its toll on EVERYONE. We in EMS have been affected in multiple ways.  We are on the front lines taking care of COVID 19 patients on a daily basis. That means masks, gloves, gowns and face shields on almost every call we take right now.  We need to stay safe to be there to take care of you. This is getting harder and harder to do.

The cost of PPE - personal protective equipment - has skyrocketed. A case of gloves pre COVID 19 were $79.90. The SAME case of gloves is now $300 - no, that is not a typo - three hundred dollars. And that is if we can FIND any to purchase.

We are shifting resources as we can, but many of those are shrinking as well. Our in person fundraising has been almost impossible. When we can find a creative way to do something, the number are limited due to the State of Emergency Guidelines that are in place the keep everyone safe. Many people are out of work, so they no longer have medical coverage - but if you call us - we show up - medical coverage or not. Some of our grant sources have shifted their focus from general healthcare to research or helping the increased low income population created due to job loss, which we certainly understand, just as we hope you understand our reasons to ask for help.
