Organization Mission:

House of Mercy's vision for building up the community is all encompassing and multi-faceted - treating the person as a whole. We feel that the key to successfully getting people to transform out of their situation and to not return, is to help them heal all the way around, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through case management and supportive care. This can be achieved through treatment plans, case management and follow up services. House of Mercy facilitates and manages temporary housing in the form of group home living (nominal fee). The treatment teams triage each entrant into the program based on degree of care and financial means to decide the housing plan which works best. The housing program enables a "soft landing" where the focus can shift from survival and onto the future.

I’m Kathryn Baker.

I’m fundraising for House of Mercy Transformation Center.

House of Mercy is a multi faceted Church dedicated to helping and strengthening the community by outreach and future community center & food pantry.
I'm asking for donations in memory of my daughters' father, Paul Cobb who died suddenly last March on St. Patrick's day.  The anniversary of his death is coming up and I think Paul would have liked knowing his friends honored him and helped others.
32  was his number, would you please donate $32 in his memory?
About House of Mercy Transformation Center

SOUL, House of Mercy's outreach, works to meet people where they are and provide them with the tools and resources necessary to heal and grow.  SOUL, through non-judgmental acceptance, serves as a parachute for the under-housed, the under-educated, the formerly incarcerated, the addict, and the underemployed to enable a soft reentry into a life filled with their full potential. The goal is to give the “underdog” the keys and tools they need to be productive, successful members of society.

Meeting people where they are, SOUL shows them that there is a way out of their situation and that they are worth finding and following that way.

Through the HoM program, people are given personalized care to guide them away from behaviors which lead to their situation and given skills to begin changing these behaviors.
HoM realizes that trauma comes in many forms; war, divorce, loss of career, incarceration, abandonment and abuse.  We realize those traumas cause many behaviors attempting to cope.  We identify those traumas through the current behaviors and teach the coping mechanisms necessary to deal with the traumas and erase the need for self-medication and rebellious, criminal behavior which has been causing self-harm through classes, groups, one on one, and computer training.
