The Friends of Auburn Heights connects generations to foster excitement for Auburn Valley State Park, steam-era technology and American life at the dawn of the automotive age.

Friends of Auburn Heights is a special place to me. I volunteer to help keep steam technology from the dawn of the automotive era alive, to share this lovely history, and create lasting memories with our visitors. About Friends of Auburn Heights
To accomplish this mission, the Friends of Auburn Heights strives to:
- Provide experiential programs and events that connect generations;
- Share the ingenuity, invention and innovation behind early and emerging technologies, encouraging the public to observe, inspect and experience the vintage cars, trains and artifacts in the museum collections;
- Offer educational programs for children (from fields trips and outreach to scouting opportunities and summer camps) that inspire a lifelong love of learning and a curiosity in science, technology and history;
- Share the organization's archival holdings with a growing audience across the globe.
