A fundraiser for: Black Mothers In Power

Organization Mission:

Black Mothers in Power seeks to eradicate racial health disparities for Black birthing people and Black babies throughout Delaware.

I’m Taj Miller.

I’m fundraising for Black Mothers In Power.

I’m raising funds for Black Mothers In Power because Black mothers deserve to be safe, supported, and seen. Black women have the highest postpartum mortality rate. 80% of these deaths are preventable. I believe in protecting Black women during pregnancy and postpartum.

BMIP is building a Maternal Care Center to provide postpartum care, workforce development for doulas, and life-saving support for families in Delaware and surrounding areas.

Join me in supporting Black mothers. Every dollar makes a difference.

Help me reach my goal!
About Black Mothers In Power

At BMIP we see the word “Mother” as an all encompassing term. Mothers are not confined to a gender, or those who have given or can give physiological birth. Mothers of all shapes, sizes, genders, and ways of “birthing” are welcome here. Not all who give birth in the physical are mothers or have children. We recognize the nuance and privilege of being a Mother on this plane of existence could never be defined in the narrow view of physiological birth. So whether you are a Drag Mother, Earth Mother, or Mother of Dragons. BMIP sees you.

Vision

Black Mothers in Power envisions a state where all Black birthing people are informed about their birthing rights, have autonomy over their reproductive decisions, and are treated equitably in the healthcare system. Learn more at www.blackmothersinpower.org.
