Organization Mission:

Formed in 2021, COBA is a nonprofit organization that seeks to Connect, Organize, Build, and Advance healthy community development. We believe that everyone deserves healthy housing options near where they work, learn, pray, and play at a price their salary allows them to afford. We took action when we realized that there was a huge gap between the supply and demand of affordable housing, policies that hinder the creation of housing that is affordable, and the community not understanding that housing affects everyone. Housing isn't just a struggle for some—it impacts us all, affecting health, the economy, and the entire community. We help community leaders and housing advocates create more affordable housing using small scale solutions. This includes accessory dwelling units (ADUs), tiny houses, tiny house communities, and incremental development. These strategies have proven successful across the US. And people should live in and pay for only what they need.
