Organization Mission:

First State Robotics, Inc. (FSR) nurtures programs in the greater Delaware area that inspire, motivate, and educate K-12 grade youth through robotics-based challenges and encourages them to consider pursuing careers in STEAM fields. We envision young people who are inspired and motivated to pursue STEAM careers as confident, self-reliant, responsible citizens poised to make a real difference in the world.

I’m John Larock.

I’m fundraising for First State Robotics, Inc..

AMOEBA Robotics, a program started by MOE 365 FTC, serves as a catalyst for expanding FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) participation in Delaware. Born from the seasoned experience of MOE FTC, established in 2006, AMOEBA Robotics provides essential resources, mentorship, and financial support to new and developing FTC teams in New Castle County. Through AMOEBA Robotics, MOE 365 extends its commitment to STEM education by ensuring that more students have the opportunity to engage in hands-on, real-world engineering experiences. This initiative directly addresses the need for accessible robotics programs in Delaware, creating pathways for students to pursue careers in engineering, computer science, and related fields.

Offering access to a shared workspace equipped with a machine shop, assembly area, and practice field, AMOEBA has fostered a collaborative environment where students can explore STEM concepts, build robots, and hone critical problem-solving skills. This program not only nurtures technical proficiency but also cultivates teamwork, communication, and leadership, empowering students to excel in robotics and beyond. In the 2024-2025 FIRST Robotics Season ‘Into the Deep’, the AMOEBA included five teams in our shared workspace: MOE FTC, Robo-sapiens, RoBerri Pi, and two new teams, InfernBros and Carbon Fiber Crocs.

This year, we are losing our in-kind workspace at the end of the season, which our teams have depended on for almost a decade to host a machine shop, practice field, outreach events, and our weekly practices. Any donation to AMOEBA Robotics, to individual teams, or to First State Robotics, our parent non-profit, goes a long way! If you’d like to help, please reach out to caroline@moeftc.org to discuss partnerships, volunteer support, in-kind donations, and more.

By investing in the AMOEBA Robotics, donors are directly supporting the growth of future innovators, fostering a vibrant STEM community, and ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the skills and passion to tackle tomorrow's challenges with Gracious Professionalism.
