Newark Day Nursery and Children's Center is committed to providing the highest quality early childhood and school age services to educate, enrich, and inspire children and youth from culturally and economically diverse families.
Aligning with our mission of providing the highest quality early childhood services, Newark Day Nursery and Children’s Center is raising funds for a biweekly music program for our students. Research informs us that exposure to music benefits a child’s language acquisition, social skills, and development of certain parts of the brain. Music activities involve the whole child – the child’s desire for language, the body’s urge to move, the brain’s attention to patterns, the ear’s lead in initiating communication, the voice’s response to sounds, as well as eye-hand coordination when playing musical instruments. With your help, we will reach our goal of $1,500 to pay for this music program for one year!
A donation of $10 funds one music class
A donation of $50 funds one morning session or five classes
A donation of $100 funds one month of sessions or 10 classes
