Paul Kares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging and educating children who show interest and passion for the culinary and musical arts. Paul Kares’ mission is to support these young artists by providing them with the confidence, training and tools to pursue careers in their chosen artistic field.

Paul Kares isn’t just a nonprofit — it’s a family that believes in the power of possibility.
The Delaware-based charity has a simple purpose: help young culinary and performing artists take the next step toward a career.

We manage The Room at Cedar Grove, a supper club with live entertainment that supports our mission and funds grants.

Founded by musician and chef Paul Cullen and community leader Jim Rivette, Paul Kares assists talented students whose resources may be limited.

Thanks to your donations, Paul Kares has helped students:

· Pursue culinary training.

· Study music.

· Travel to music camps, competitions and training programs to learn from mentors.

· Pay for tuition, instruments and recording sessions.

We have supported young chefs leaving Delaware for the first time to study and helped high school musicians access professional-grade gear. Your gift may cover a lesson or a trip, but more importantly, it creates access, momentum, and opportunity.

Your donation supports the spaces and tools that make this work possible, including:

· Artists: Support for performances and programming.

· HVAC and The Room’s infrastructure: A safe, comfortable venue for students and audiences.

· Kitchen equipment: Tools needed for culinary training and events.

· $50 helps cover student supplies and program costs.

· $100 supports an instrument purchase.

· $250 helps fund training, lessons or travel tied to mentorship.

· $500 or more helps sustain the venue and equipment that power our programs.

About Paul Kares, Inc.

Paul Kares hosts fundraising events and solicits donations throughout the year to raise awareness and funds to enable us to fulfill our goal of assisting children who need financial support to attend educational seminars, workshops and classes in their chosen field or to purchase musical instruments and culinary/kitchen tools and equipment.

The nonprofit was founded by Paul Cullen, former bass player for the rock band Bad Company and now a successful Delmarva food, entertainment and wine entrepreneur. Reflecting on his own successful career and determined to find a way to give back to the community, in 2021 Paul and another Lewes entrepreneur, Jim Rivette, founded Paul Kares, Inc., to help fulfill their philanthropic dreams.

Our organization works with grade schools, high schools and other institutions and groups throughout the Delmarva region to identify qualified candidates who may become future recipients of Paul Kares scholarships and other financial awards. We will be especially looking to support children who are from low-to-moderate income circumstances. Learn more at paulkaresde.org.
