LCH has been serving our community for fifty years. We offer accessible, equitable, and expert care, so that all of our people can thrive and be happy.

We were established in 1973 to serve the needs of a primarily Latino population drawn to the area by jobs in the mushroom industry. Vulnerable families were in need of a place to go for help, ask questions, and seek resources. Peggy Harris and Margarita Quiñones brought healthcare to the non-profit organization, and La Comunidad Hispana, came to life laying a foundation of passion for serving our community.  As the need in the community grew, so did the organization.  In 2012 LCH became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

LCH strengthens our community by delivering state-of-the-art, accessible, integrated, and equitable healthcare for anyone in our diverse community.  Our passion, energy, personality, diversity and commitment to the community makes us unique in healthcare services.  We offer primary care, social services, integrated and outpatient behavioral health, women’s health, dental services and pediatrics.  In fall of 2023, LCH opened the Pia Center for Behavioral Health at LCH to provide outpatient and group therapy services to our community.
