At Loblolly Acres, we have created a place where the dream wedding can be conceptualized into reality, concerts of various sizes can finally be brought to Kent County, and the community, the arts, performances, and events can be hosted for Central Delaware to thrive. We opened our doors in late 2021, and have since welcomed thousands out to the farm for events. To support our vision, in 2022, we created our nonprofit, The Art Society at Loblolly Acres. Our Mission is to enrich Central Delaware with more arts, nature, and a sense of community. We believe that art and nature are integral parts of any community, and by fostering these we can enhance the quality of life for all residents.
See firsthand how we are making a difference in our community by joining us for a walk on the farm. During Do More 24 (March 6th 9A-6P) we are opening our doors to welcome donors to stroll our wooded trails, explore our venue space, and learn how our nonprofit organization is making an impact on Central Delaware’s cultural scene.
Our 2025 season marked a major milestone for Loblolly Acres, highlighted by our first sold-out large-scale concert featuring country music legend Tracy Byrd. This event realized our vision of bringing nationally touring artists to the farm in an intimate, nature-filled setting. Demand was immediate—half of the tickets sold within the first 15 minutes—and the concert introduced us to a wave of new, returning patrons.
We expanded our season with new holiday and seasonal events that were met with great enthusiasm. Highlights included a romantic Valentine’s Day Concert by Candlelight featuring First State Ballet, OperaDelaware, and the Tim Laushey Orchestra; a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea honoring women with live piano by David Shockley; and a Christmas Concert in the style of Sinatra featuring Bruce Klauber of Philadelphia, currently touring for his new book with firsthand accounts of Frank Sinatra. We also planned an All-American Family Picnic for Flag Day with the 35-piece Chesapeake Brass Band and an apple pie contest, which was unfortunately canceled due to weather.
Our summer season thrived with the launch of our first annual Summer Solstice Circus, kicking off the season with aerial and roaming circus performers, interactive games, and a live concert by Mike Hines and the Look. We continued to bring immersive, live experiences to the farm with performances by mentalist Dan Gaffney, Farm-to-Table Dinners featuring local chefs and live music, and a robust Summer Concert Series. Artists included Love Seed Mama Jump, Decade80, American Idol finalist Alex Miller, and our Second Annual Ballet Brews, and BBQ & Blues with First State Ballet Theatre.
Our most popular offering, Pumpkin Patch Sundays, returned every Sunday in October, featuring two live bands, more than ten local artisans, food trucks, small businesses, pumpkin picking, hayrides, and opportunities to enjoy nature on the farm.
Throughout the season, we hosted more than 100 performing artists from around the world, partnered with over 60 local artisans, vendors, and chefs, and celebrated more than 50 events and weddings. Each year, we aim to grow—creating more experiences, expanding opportunities for local creatives, and continuing to enrich Central Delaware through arts, nature, and community.
At Loblolly Acres, we create unique experiences that support our community, highlight its talent, bring in national talents, and welcome others to be part of it.The farm is more than a venue—it’s a destination where people can gather, create, enjoy nature, and step away from the everyday for a while.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to build on the momentum of 2025. Our goal is to bring back all of our events—refined, expanded, and elevated—while also welcoming two nationally touring artists and a Christian music group to Central Delaware, more artists and vendors. These experiences don’t just entertain; they bring people together, support local culture, and put our region on the map in a meaningful way.
This vision is only possible with the support of locals who believe in investing where they live. By sponsoring or donating to The Art Society at Loblolly Acres, you become a partner in strengthening our community. In return, we offer meaningful advertising opportunities and sales incentives that connect your business with a growing, engaged audience, while demonstrating your commitment to the cultural and economic vitality of Central Delaware as well as aligning it with something positive, creative, and lasting.
All proceeds from our events benefit The Art Society at Loblolly Acres helping us continue our journey of cultivating and celebrating art, nature, and community in Delaware. Achieving this vision would not be possible without the unwavering support of our community.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Epps Venue Owner & Angela Zielen Epps Non Profit Director
