To showcase independent film and local talent—giving our community a screen, a stage, and a voice to inspire and connect.

Theatre N, often called a hidden gem, has been Wilmington’s only nonprofit independent cinema for more than 20 years. We are more than a movie theater. We are a gathering place where audiences discover films they cannot see anywhere else, where local musicians and comedians take the stage, and where filmmakers premiere their work for a hometown crowd.

Each year, we partner with local schools, shelters, and nonprofit organizations to expand access to the arts and bring people together. For many artists, our stage is a first opportunity. For many audience members, our theater is a welcoming space to connect, learn, and be inspired.
