YES to Trauma-Informed Mentorship

Organization Mission:

At Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E., our mission is to provide a symbiotic approach to mental health wellness by providing quality, affordable, family-centered services encompassing behavioral health, physical health, mindfulness, and mentorship for children, adolescents, adults, and families. By meeting families where they are—in our wellness center, schools, or community settings—we ensure that everyone, particularly low-income families and the uninsured or underinsured, has the opportunity to lead a healthy, fulfilling, and successful life. A life today...a nation tomorrow!

The YES to Mentorship program seeks to profoundly impact the lives of underserved youth in Delaware. Our goal is to provide mentorship and support to children in middle school focused on trauma-informed care, who face various barriers to accessing positive role models and guidance. We believe that alongside therapeutic services, mentorship is a powerful tool for personal growth and development, especially for youth in vulnerable circumstances.

With a focus on youth who have suffered a traumatic experience, our mentors work diligently to create a safe and nurturing environment for youth to learn, heal, and thrive. Our unique approach allows us to operate in person, regardless of circumstance, increasing accessibility for children across Delaware.

We are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion and addressing the unique needs of our target communities. The YES to Trauma-Informed Mentorship program is dedicated to creating a brighter future for underserved youth in Delaware. With your support, we will expand our reach and make a positive impact on many lives. Together, we can empower the youth of Delaware to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

We kindly request your support in making this transformative program a reality, enabling us to uplift the next generation and build a stronger, more resilient Delaware.

About Tomaro's Change

Creating Healing Answers & Necessary Guidance for Excellence
At Tomaro’s C.H.A.N.G.E., we believe true healing happens when the mind, body, and spirit are nurtured together. Our wellness center blends behavioral health therapy, mindfulness/meditation, martial arts, physical fitness, and massage therapy to create a wholeness approach to mental health and wellness. We are dedicated to serving children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a special focus on underserved, uninsured, and underinsured populations throughout Delaware.

As part of our mission we provide comprehensive, accessible, and culturally responsive support to those who need it most. We recognize the challenges faced by underserved children, and families who often struggle to access quality mental health care. We offer a range of holistic programs, including:

✔️ Individual, family, and group therapy
✔️ Mindfulness and meditation for emotional balance
✔️ Martial arts and fitness for self-discipline and resilience
✔️ Massage therapy for stress relief and trauma recovery
✔️ Peer support groups and mentorship
✔️ Tailored services for middle school-aged children with autism and their families

Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges
We believe no one should be denied care due to financial constraints. Our flexible model allows us to provide services in-office, in schools, and within communities, ensuring we meet families where they are. We also offer sliding scale options and financial assistance to help eliminate barriers to care.

With your support, we can expand our impact, reach more families, and transform lives. Join us in creating a community where healing, growth, and empowerment are normalized and possible for all.
