This fundraiser is important because as we know it is a crazy world out here. With the age of social media and everything being so fast paced, kids are going through things emotionally and mentally that they may not understand. This is why the suicide rate in kids has risen throughout the years. This tournament will allow them to come together and make kids who may not feel included all the time, feel included. Let the kids know that you have a purpose in life, let them know that yes life can be challenging and we want them to understand that no matter how challenging life can get, you are always in control and can fight throw any adversity life throws at you. Yes, this is a basketball tournament but its not your typical tournament, we are offering a meditation period where kids are shown various ways how meditation, the benefits of meditation and how to better handle adverse situations that they face in their everyday life. I know the sister supporting sister foundations pride’s themselves on health and wellness in the black and brown community so we trust that the funds raised will go toward the mental health and wellness of our youth.
