All Mutts Matter Foundation

Our mission is to help dogs, especially senior dogs, who have been displaced either by an owner's sudden deployment, untimely death, illness, or other unfortunate situations.

All Mutts Matter Foundation (AMMF) was established in February 2013  with the mission to live out the declaration of its name: ALL dogs in need (and sometimes cats too!) deserve care, love, and comfort.  ALL dogs -- regardless of age, illness, injury, or disability.  Many rescues reason that since they have limited fosters, they will only take those animals likely to be adopted quickly so they can save more animals.  That is one approach and there is a place for that approach given the terrible numbers of so many euthanized for lack of space in shelters.  But a complement to those rescues is an organization like AMMF.

There are many dogs who are overlooked because of age, illness, or disability; the expense and time commitment to such animals in need can be daunting certainly -- but it can also reap tremendous rewards, both for the dogs who are rescued and those who rescue them.  A little dog with a spinal injury who came into the rescue unable to walk now dashes about like a happy cartoon with a slightly unsteady back end, not in pain anymore and reveling in life.  A blind dog who can't respond as confidently to potential adopters in a frightening shelter situation comes into the embrace of rescue through AMMF and lands in a soft bed and soft arms, ready for a life of love and security.  A dog who waited seven years in a shelter with no interest comes to find a happy home because AMMF went out of its way to locate this shelter with little rescue support.  A senior dog with wobbly knees requiring surgery in both back legs, gets the care she needs and eventually a home where she is now seen as priceless, not a dog to be discarded and overlooked. This is the work that AMMF does every single day.

We operate up and down the east coast and have branches in West Virginia and Florida.  We have a devoted foster network and the help of dedicated transporters to whisk dogs to safety from precarious situations and to bring them to the arms that will embrace them with love for the rest of their lives.  We shall never stop our work to fulfill this mission.  We cannot for, indeed, we believe through and through that ALL mutts (and purebreds) matter enough for us to care, to devote our lives to them, to strive to help, to work tirelessly -- even when we are very tired -- to save them from a fate too many in this world suffer.

We cannot do this work alone; we need your support.  Please join forces with us for this mission -- it takes a community to improve a community, starting with the least of our brethren in the animal world as well as the human one.  If everyone gave a little bit, it would add up to a whole lot -- and a whole lot more than simply a tally on a financial statement, for that monetary contribution translates into wealth beyond imagining for each life saved.  Thank you!

About All Mutts Matter Foundation

Mission: Our mission is to help dogs, especially senior dogs, who have been displaced either by an owner's sudden deployment, untimely death, illness, or other unfortunate situations.

All of the dogs are fostered in private homes where they are nurtured, loved and cared for until adoptive families are found for them. If a new family cannot be found, they will live out their lives with All Mutts Matter. Our mission also includes educating the public regarding the importance of spaying/neutering their pets and responsible dog ownership. We are also dedicated to helping sick and elderly dogs know they are safe and loved
