Organization Mission:

To build the best educational support system possible that allows every student who walks through our doors an equitable opportunity to be successful.

Help Us Feed our Students

Familiar with a double stack steamer?
This ONE piece of kitchen equipment helps us serve roughly 24,000 meals per month to students from Kuumba Academy, Great Oaks Charter School, High Road School, Freire Charter School, First State Montessori Academy, and Positive Change Academy. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks with hot and cold options for our students to select from. We make 80% of our meals from scratch and increase access to reliable nutrition for our students.

These convection ovens allow us to heat and warm the food we serve to our students for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. This allows us to prep food ahead of time and raise it to the temperatures required by the FDA, to coordinate the high number of meals being served from our kitchen.  Without this steamer, we will not be able to feed our students hot meals.

We need your help to reach our goal of collecting $5,000 to buy a new steamer. On behalf of our 1,600 students in the City of Wilmington, we thank you for your generosity.
