I’m Dalissy Jose Washington.

I’m fundraising for TeenSHARP, Inc..

TeenSHARP is one of my favorite nonprofits in Delaware, and I have deep admiration for its founders. I had the privilege of supporting their mission as a staff member from 2018 to 2020, during which I saw firsthand the transformative impact they have on students. TeenSHARP is at the forefront of disrupting educational inequities, empowering Black, Latino, and low-income students by providing them access to some of America's top colleges. Join me in supporting this incredible organization as it builds a legacy of exceptional leaders and creates lasting change in education.

About TeenSHARP, Inc.

Mission: Building a diverse pipeline of leaders, one top college admission at a time

Founded in 2009, TeenSHARP is a dynamic learning community that empowers Black, Latino, and low-income students across the Delaware Valley. By using top college admissions as a catalyst for change, we are reshaping the landscape of leadership in America.

What started with just 10 students in a church basement has grown into a movement, reaching hundreds of students through our transformative virtual programs. Over the past 16 years, more than 700 TeenSHARP scholars have gained admission to top institutions like Yale, MIT, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, Penn, Vanderbilt, Macalester, Pomona, Northeastern, and Swarthmore.

Our impact goes beyond college acceptance—TeenSHARP alumni graduate on time, with minimal debt. Nearly all complete college within four years (all within six), and on average, they leave with $15,000 or less in student loans—a fraction of the national average.

At TeenSHARP, we don’t just help students get in—we prepare them to lead and thrive.
