TeenSHARP changed my life—help me pay it forward!
TeenSHARP is a college prep program for talented, low-income Black and Latino students. I joined TeenSHARP in high school having no idea what AP or IB classes were and their significance. I also didn't understand the difference between top colleges, like Cornell University, and other alternatives like community colleges and state schools. I had no idea how to be admitted into a top college or why it was my best option. However, TeenSHARP had all the experience, tools, high expectations, and guidance that I needed to help me land a spot and strive in a top college.
As a senior at Cornell University, I will not only be the first in my immediate family to graduate from high school but I will also be the first to graduate from college. As a low-income immigrant student from a small town in Mexico, I am so grateful that God presented TeenSHARP to me when I most needed it. During my time in Cornell University my family and I have not needed to worry about financial burdens and they have provided me with many resources that I could have never received in alternative colleges. I could have never had the privilege of experiencing this incredible opportunity to be a Cornell student without the help of TeenSHARP, though. Please help TeenSHARP as they guide other students like me in their path towards earning a spot and excelling in top colleges!

Mission: Building a diverse pipeline of leaders, one top college admission at a time
Founded in 2009, TeenSHARP is a dynamic learning community that empowers Black, Latino, and low-income students across the Delaware Valley. By using top college admissions as a catalyst for change, we are reshaping the landscape of leadership in America.
What started with just 10 students in a church basement has grown into a movement, reaching hundreds of students through our transformative virtual programs. Over the past 16 years, more than 700 TeenSHARP scholars have gained admission to top institutions like Yale, MIT, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, Penn, Vanderbilt, Macalester, Pomona, Northeastern, and Swarthmore.
Our impact goes beyond college acceptance—TeenSHARP alumni graduate on time, with minimal debt. Nearly all complete college within four years (all within six), and on average, they leave with $15,000 or less in student loans—a fraction of the national average.
At TeenSHARP, we don’t just help students get in—we prepare them to lead and thrive.
