I’m Dan Cruce.

I’m fundraising for United Way of Delaware (UWDE).

At United Way of Delaware, we see the vital role the Delaware 211 Helpline (DE211) plays in supporting our neighbors during tough times. In our state, ~40% of households are classified as ALICE—working families who struggle to afford basic needs like food, housing &  healthcare. These are our friends & neighbors who, despite their hard work, need a little extra support. That’s where DE211 comes in. DE211 connects families with the resources they need to get back on their feet—whether it's housing assistance, food programs, or healthcare support. By donating during Do More 24 Delaware, you're helping keep this lifeline accessible to those who need it most.
Every dollar you contribute directly supports the operation of DE111. Let’s come together to make a real difference in our community.]

About United Way of Delaware (UWDE)

Mission: At United Way of Delaware, we're answering the call to help our community thrive. We're working to ensure kids can read on grade level by third grade, support career and college success for youth, connect families to vital resources through Delaware 211, and empower individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. It’s about creating lasting change that lifts up everyone, not just offering temporary fixes.

When you give to United Way of Delaware you are helping children and families. Whether it's a kindergartner who lacks the resources to learn remotely, or a family calling 2-1-1 seeking immediate shelter, United Way of Delaware has initiatives in the community that make an impact in the lives of real people.
