Our mission is to provide a valued service to the community, by enriching the quality of life through the performance of live orchestral and chamber music, and through music education.

The first five people who contribute $500 or more will receive two concert tickets to an NSO concert of their choice plus a $100 gift card to either Caffe Gelato or Skipjack Dining.

Welcome to the Newark Symphony Orchestra!  We would love to have your support in helping us continue to grow and support the communities we serve in the following ways: 

NSO has been performing for 58 years through the dedication of our volunteer musicians, and is a vibrant participant in our flourishing local arts community.

Our performing season includes four symphony orchestra concerts, four chamber concerts, and a Family Concert designed to bring our music to the next generation.

Simeone Tartaglione, our Music Director since 2010, has inspired us to play our best.  You can see those results in our performances, which many of our audience members have compared to professional orchestras.

 A major portion of the NSO funding is donated by individual members of our community. 

 Our annual Betsy L Kent Concerto Competition provides opportunities for aspiring young musicians in our communities to perform with a full orchestra in front of a large audience and be appreciated by our patrons for their beautiful music. 

We provide donated, refurbished free instruments for the youth in our communities through our Instruments in the Attic program.

We create opportunities for generations of local volunteer musicians to bring beautiful music to our community. 

NSO provides opportunities for volunteering in other ways, such as 45 years of support from the NSO Friends, a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the orchestral performances and fundraising.

Our Board of Directors has arranged for a $3,500 matching contribution -- the first $3,500 raised through this DoMore24 campaign will be matched, helping the Newark Symphony Orchestra even more!
