Delaware Innocence Project 2023

Organization Mission:

Innocence Project Delaware, established in 2018, is the state's only organization focused exclusively on addressing and preventing wrongful convictions. Our mission is to secure justice for individuals wrongfully imprisoned for crimes they did not commit. IPD’s mission is driven by four key goals: (1) Client Advocacy: We investigate claims of actual innocence and provide free legal representation to individuals wrongfully convicted and imprisoned in Delaware. (2) Student Training: We offer clinical education and hands-on experience to students in law and criminal justice, helping train the next generation of justice-focused advocates. (3) Public Education: We raise awareness about wrongful convictions, policy reform, and developments within the criminal legal system. (4) Reform: We work to transform the criminal legal system that has convicted innocent Delawareans.

Help us free wrongfully convicted people in Delaware.  Your contributions go directly to the lawyers doing the work because we have low overhead costs due to our partnership with Delaware Law School.
