Thanks to a generous group of supporters we have a Matching Gift Challenge of $10,500! All donations will be match dollar for dollar up to $10,500! 

Your gift will help us do things like
  • Create a dedicated room for youth and early childhood education at  Ashland Nature Center. 
  • Support regenerative agriculture and bring a Farm to Table dining experience to Coverdale Farm. 
  • Provide educational programs and activities to the youth community in Wilmington. 
  • Support education and renovation efforts at the historic Abbotts Mill Nature Center in Milford. 

Our supporters have made it possible for us to: 
  • Plant tens of thousands of trees throughout Delaware in reforestation efforts. 
  • Advocated on behalf of all Delawareans for Clean Water Legislation. 
  • Have 23,500+ children, adults, chaperones and educators attend educational programs, field trips and summer camps at DelNature sites each year. 
  • Support and increase local biodiversity by selling 7,000+ native plants each year through our  Native Plant Sales.
  • Nearly Half a Million Vegetables, Flowers & Herbs Grown annually at Coverdale for local markets & restaurants.

Founded in 1964, Delaware Nature Society (DelNature) is a leading environmental nonprofit organization in the region. For more than half a century, we’ve worked to protect the environment and connect people to nature. DelNature is renowned for delivering nature-based educational programming for children and adults and inspiring communities with tools to take-action to protect the environment. We are a regional leader advocating on behalf of important issues related to conservation, land preservation, and the environment.  We manage over 2,000 acres of land statewide and have staff in four locations where we run public programs year-round:  Ashland Nature Center (Hockessin), Abbott's Mill Nature Center (Milford), DuPont Environmental Education Center at the Russell W. Peterson Urban Wildlife Refuge (Wilmington); and the Coverdale Farm Preserve (Greenville).
