About Delaware Pride Inc.
Mission: Founded on April 29, 1997, Delaware Pride is dedicated to promoting a safe space to advocate for diversity, equity, and accessibility for individuals of all genders and identities, creating a more visible and united LGBTQIA2+ community throughout Delaware.
The Pride flag represents the array of individuals for which it stands. Under that flag, Delaware Pride endeavors to be the hub of all LGBTQIA2+ groups throughout the state. To do this, Delaware Pride must:
1. Be proactive and equitable by creating safe spaces that allow persons of any age to question and receive affirmation.
2. Create more racial, ethnic diversity within and without the Board of Directors.
3. Expand the cultural base of members.
4. Revitalize the website and social media to create more inclusive collaboration between organizations.
5. Include individuals of all ages, cultures and abilities to find connections to social opportunities and resources.
6. Reassess all documents to stay current with the community’s terminology.
Your support is indicative of not only your generosity, but the value and need for Pride to continue and thrive. As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, we rely on the kind support of
corporations, local businesses, and donors in the community to fund the success of Delaware Pride each year. Delaware Pride works hard to utilize all of our generous contributions to maximize the impact within the community through the festival and other programs.
