Organization Mission:
Delivering audiences exceptional performances that uplift the community.
- We held our first-ever community Ice Cream Spring Social (lots of fun and we hope to make this a repeat).
- We raised $750 for Ukraine relief at our spring 2022 Friends and Family concert held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church (and we even broadcast it live via Facebook).
- We experienced a triumphant return to Longwood Gardens with our Main Stage Production of The Wizard of Oz (after a long hiatus), serving thousands of devoted patrons and friends of our organization.
- We had a spooktacular Halloween/Bonfire/Wagon Ride event at Bellevue Park.
- We planned and executed a memorable silent auction and GALA celebrating 90 years of The Brandywiners Ltd.
- Our chorale performed at many area community centers, Wilmington Blue Rocks, veteran's homes/events, hospitals, and other locations -- spreading good cheer to thousands.
- We created, in partnership with University of Delaware archivists, a wonderfully designed Brandywiners commemorative booklet honoring our past, present, and future.
- We established and implemented some important new documents to help advance and guide The Brandywiners Ltd - such as a Cultural Competency policy and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion statement.
- We digitized and archived every single Brandywiners photo and program in storage since 1932 in partnership with University of Delaware archivists (a massive project and undertaking, but one that will help preserve the impact of our nonprofit for generations to come).
- We expanded our brand by creating some fun swag items such as t-shirts, pens, water bottles, and more.
- We donated thousands of dollars to other area nonprofits (continuing the tradition of returning profits to area community nonprofits as set forth by our founders, William "Chick" Laird, Francis Tatnall, and Pierre duPont.
- We presented a beautiful community Holiday concert - by our talented Chorale - in Wilmington, Delaware (with lots of in-person and virtual attendees).
