Delaware Wild Lands, Inc. is a private non-profit tax exempt organization, dedicated to the conservation and preservation of natural areas through the acquisition and management of strategic parcels of land.
For 65 years, Delaware Wild Lands has been preserving, protecting, and restoring some of Delaware’s most important natural areas. This spring, you can be part of that work in a meaningful way.
One Powerful Giving Day!
For Do More 24 DE, we’re setting a simple goal: raise $6,500 in honor of our 65th anniversary.
We’re inviting you to Adopt a Tree. $100 plants one tree in one of our restoration areas from the Great Cypress Swamp to Taylor’s Bridge to Augustine Creek.
Even better? Every dollar you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 by generous DWL supporters. That means your $100 becomes $200 toward restoration.
When you adopt a tree, you’ll receive:
A digital tree certificate
A photo from the restoration area
A short story about what your tree supports — wildlife habitat, forest resilience, and clean water.
Your Donation Will Help
Can’t give $100? That’s okay because every dollar counts. Whether it’s $10, $25, or $50, your gift will be doubled and put to work immediately to protect forests across Delaware.
This is more than planting a tree. It’s investing in the next 65 years of healthy forests, vital habitats, and protected wildlife corridors!

About Delaware Wild Lands, Inc.
Who We Are
Delaware Wild Lands was founded in 1961. We are the largest not-for-profit, non-governmental landowner in Delaware, with significant holdings in all three counties.
We protect and restore Delaware’s important natural areas by purchasing strategic parcels of land. Traditional uses of land, such as hunting, farming, and forestry are integral to our management regime and maintained as important aspects of Delaware’s economy and cultural heritage.
Our organization has played a pivotal role in the permanent protection of more than 31,800 acres of land throughout Delmarva. Today we own and actively manage more than 21,800 acres to ensure clean air, pure water, vibrant wildlife habitat, and healthy farms and forests.
