Sussex Montessori is serving our first 260 children and growing to 465 children!
Sussex Montessori School currently provides free, authentic Montessori education to 260 elementary students, and next year we will serve even more! Your contribution can help us nurture more children who thrive in an environment that is joyful, challenging, and accommodating to their unique learning styles!
Sussex Montessori School offers high-quality education that honors the way children naturally learn and inspires them to become enthusiastic learners and compassionate leaders for LIFE!
Our curriculum provides innovative, personalized instruction at the child's pace, with a focus on developing the WHOLE child: academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our beautiful Montessori materials encourage independent, hands-on learning which reinforces advanced cognitive functioning, creativity and development, and makes education fun!
Our classrooms, built with the highest standards of safety in mind, offer a prepared environment and ample space for freedom of purposeful movement in a calm and loving atmosphere.

About Sussex Montessori School:
Located in beautiful Western Sussex County, Sussex Montessori provides tuition-free, authentic Montessori education to Delaware students grades K-6.
We opened in September of 2020 and currently serve 340 students in grades K-4. As we add grades 5 and 6 each subsequent year, we will expand our enrollment to serve 455 children by 2024.
Sussex Montessori School offers high-quality education that honors the way children naturally learn and inspires them to become enthusiastic learners and compassionate leaders for LIFE!

Sussex Montessori recently completed Phase 1 and 2a of our construction which allowed us to build fourteen state-of-the-art elementary classrooms, as well as renovate the farmhouse (now administrative building) and former carriage house (food service and multipurpose room). Phase 2b & 3 renovations will include the construction of 4 new classrooms, athletic fields and play area, and the renovations to the historic barn which will serve as a school resource and community center.
