Organization Mission:
Our mission is to champion animal welfare, lead policy change, and support animals and their caregivers with compassion and care.
Faithful Friends Animal Society is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization with a No Kill shelter serving Delaware. Faithful Friends does not euthanize animals to make space for others. All cats and dogs in our care stay with us until forever homes are found. They receive lots of love and attention in addition to top-notch care.
Programs and services include rescue and adoption, healthy pet clinics, spay/neuter clinics, free pet food & supply bank, pet therapy services, and community outreach.
Healing Touch Fund: Helping Animals in Need of Special Medical Care
During the Do More 24 Campaign we are asking for support for our Healing Touch Fund. Help us reach our $10,000 goal, plus ALL DONATIONS WILL BE MATCHED
Despite all the challenges we face relating to the health pandemic, Faithful Friends continues to provide life-saving services for animals in need each and every day. This year, we are also celebrating 21 years of serving the community! We continue to help thousands of cats and dogs each year and with each one, we are reminded of the impact YOU have helped us make over the last two decades.
Some animals at the shelter require special or emergency medical care and need extra time to heal. Thanks to your support, we have a skilled veterinary team on staff that is able to help many of these animals in-house, decreasing outside expenses. Still, there are many pets with needs that go beyond what we can provide at our shelter.
Donations to the Healing Touch Fund offset the cost of special medical treatments that go beyond our standard care plan. These expenses add up to over $130,000 annually, but we cannot imagine turning our backs on these animals. Thanks to your support, we don’t have to.
Of the thousands of cats and dogs, we care for each year, over 200 will need emergency, life-saving care, and treatment. Every gift matters. Your support will help save their lives.

About Faithful Friends Animal Society
Faithful Friends Animal Society is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization with a no-kill shelter and community veterinary clinic. All animals in our care stay with us until placed into new homes. We are funded through donations, grants, and fees for services. We allocate the majority of our budget (about 82%) for community programs and services.
