Fighting for Systemic Change - Michelle Taylor

A fundraiser for United Way of Delaware (UWDE)

$1,755 raised from 25 donors

$2,000 goal

I’m not sure where to start. So let me start at the beginning: I need your help.

Thousands of young children in Delaware’s most marginalized communities aren’t reading on a third-grade level. If they don’t catch up soon, they’ll fall into the academic achievement gap.

In many of those same neighborhoods, hundreds of residents have not yet received a COVID vaccination. Some are scared. Others just aren’t certain what to do.

And of course, the racial strife in our country seems as intractable as ever.

United Way of Delaware is driving solutions in all these areas. But like I said in the beginning: I need your help.

Do More 24 is the one time each year when we’re all asked to step up and “Do More” to provide unrestricted support for these solutions. This year, Do More 24 starts at 6pm on March 4th, and ends at 6pm on March 5th. I’m writing today to ask if you would please do all you can to do more by making a gift to Do More 24 on my very own Do More 24 page, which you can find right here.

Thank you in advance for stepping up. I promise you, every bit helps.

Sincerely,
Michelle
