First State Squash
Organization Mission:
First State Squash supports participants in achieving and sustaining personal academic success and physical wellness through long-term educational, athletic and community engagement opportunities.
You can donate starting on March 5, 2026 at 6:00 pm
First State Squash is an out-of-school program that delivers critical academic, athletic and youth development programming to Wilmington youth. During the school year, FSS team members attend 2-3 practices each week, tournaments, community engagement events, and much more. Over the summer, we offer specialized programming and lots of fun field trips! Each regular session includes squash instruction, academic support (homework help and literacy-based enrichment), team building, and a healthy snack.
The program currently works alongside 85 students in 5th through 12th grades from over ten Title I middle and high schools in Wilmington, DE.
First State Squash is tuition-free and this is only made possible by our thoughtful community of supporters. Your support helps ensure First State Squash:
