The Delaware Historical Society's Research Library & Archives, housed in a beautiful 1929 Art Deco style building, is a treasure trove of more than three million collections items relating to Delaware's history. 

To keep those treasures safe, we are urgently raising funds to replace the building's roof, which is leaking after nearly a century of patchwork repairs, and repair the ceiling plaster and paint damaged by the leaks. 

Temporary plastic sheeting has been installed to catch falling debris and protect the items in the Reading Room, but the roof must be replaced to ensure the safety of our collections items, staff, and visitors.
