$2,150 raised from 35 donors

$5,000 goal

This year, the first $5000 in donations will be matched thanks to the generosity of the Delaware Historical Society Board of Trustees. We are grateful to their continued support, and we hope you'll join our mission -- to educate, inspire, and empower all Delawareans as we preserve, promote, and share our state's unique history.

Why DHS?
Learning from our history has never been more important!

Delaware Historical Society stewards nine historical buildings and over three million artifacts related to Delaware history, yet our impact reaches beyond our museum and facilities.

We bring Delaware's unique history to life through our engaging programming, including a walking tour highlighting the lives and residences of Black families and neighbors from the 19th to early 20th centuries in Old New Castle; a monthly film series highlighting different community heritage months; a bus tour exploring key Delaware sites related to the Brown v. Board of Education school desegregation case;  and a temporary exhibition that showcases Delawareans' service in WWII at home and abroad.

Your support allows us to continue to expand our programming and work with learning communities, families, other cultural institutions, scholars, and artists to learn from our history and bring new experiences into our historic spaces.
