At Shine A Light On Stroke, our mission is to raise awareness, provide support, and reduce financial burdens for stroke survivors and their caregivers in Delaware.

A stroke changes everything in an instant. For survivors and their families, the road to recovery can be long, emotional, and incredibly costly. Many essential needs aren’t covered by insurance, leaving families struggling to afford the care and tools that make daily life possible. On average, the lifetime cost of a stroke can exceed $140,000.

Your generosity can bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those facing these challenges. Every gift, no matter the size, helps provide life-changing support such as:
  • Home modifications for safety and accessibility
  • Caregiver support and respite
  • Mobility and communication devices
  • Thickeners for swallowing difficulties

About Shine A Light On Stroke

Founded in 2024, we are a dedicated team of volunteers, advocates, and professionals who believe in creating lasting change through collaboration and innovation.  We work tirelessly to address the lack of support for this population, by focusing on sustainable solutions that uplift and empower individuals as well as the community.  Through partnerships with local businesses and other nonprofits, we strive to make a tangible impact. Our goal is to assist any and all individuals who have been negatively impacted by stroke, in reducing their financial burdens due to out of pockets expenses that insurance hasn’t covered. Our values are at the heart of everything we do: Compassion, Education, Prevention, Empowerment, and Inclusivity.
