Purity Laundry Project serves under-resourced families and individuals throughout Sussex County, Delaware, by providing free laundry services for clothing and bedding. Our mission is to promote health, economic stability, and human dignity through access to clean garments and linens—a basic necessity often overlooked in the fight against poverty.

For many families in Sussex County, clean laundry is not a simple household chore—it is an unaffordable expense. The cost of washers, dryers, detergent, or even a single laundromat cycle can force people to choose between clean clothes and essential needs like food, transportation, or medication. Purity Laundry Project exists to remove that burden.

We provide free laundry services so children can go to school confident and free from bullying, parents can show up to work with dignity, and individuals experiencing hardship can feel seen, valued, and supported. Clean clothing and bedding are basic needs that contribute directly to health, self-esteem, and stability. When these needs are met, families can redirect limited resources toward building a safer, more secure life.

About Purity Laundry Project

By ensuring that families have clean, germ-free clothing and bedding, we help reduce financial strain and allow limited household funds to be redirected toward other essential needs such as food, housing, and healthcare. Clean clothes empower parents to seek and maintain employment, enable children to attend school with confidence, and protect the very young, elderly, and infirm from infections and disease caused by unclean bedding.
